School Readiness (3+)
Preparing Little Learners for a Confident Start
At The Learning Patch, we believe school readiness is about so much more than worksheets and academic pressure. It’s about nurturing confident, curious children who feel emotionally secure, independent and excited to learn.
Our small group School Readiness sessions (maximum of 4 children) are carefully designed for children aged 3+ and are rooted in the EYFS play-based curriculum. Through meaningful play, hands-on exploration and relationship-based learning, children develop the essential foundations they need before starting school.
We know that children learn best when they feel safe, engaged and inspired – because to us, play is learning.
What Our Sessions Include
- Early phonics and communication skills
- Fine motor development and pre-writing skills
- Early maths through practical exploration
- Turn-taking, confidence and social development
- Storytelling, role play and language-rich experiences
- Independence and emotional readiness for school
A Unique Learning Environment
Children learn within our calm and nurturing indoor learning space and beautiful outdoor area designed to inspire curiosity and creativity.
From potion making and mud kitchen play to storytelling corners, sensory invitations and hands-on maths activities, every experience is thoughtfully planned to support development in a joyful and meaningful way.
Our approach allows children to:
- Build confidence naturally
- Develop a love of learning
- Learn through movement, play and exploration
- Feel supported as individuals
At The Learning Patch, we don’t believe children are “one-size-fits-all.” Every child blooms in their own time, and our role is to nurture that growth with care, patience and expertise.
